Nakula is our Spirit of Beauty, Arts, and Æsthetics and is Lord Mayor and Chamberlain ministering to the wants and decorations of the towns and chambers of Her Majesty the Panchali of this State. He looks after our refinements and manners - he this beautiful Prince of Refinement and Æsthetics. He looks after the physical, mental, sentimental, and moral growth of the people, and his anvil is always working out new and beautiful implements of arts and science for the health, hygiene and recreation of sweet Páncháli.–
“નકુલભવન મુકી કનિષ્ટ બન્ધુ સહદેવનું ભવન આવ્યું. વૈરાટને ત્યાં એ ગોસંખ્ય – ગોપાળ – થઈ રહ્યો હતો. ગો એટલે ગાય, પૃથ્વી, વાણી,- દ્રવ્યમાત્ર; તેની સંખ્યા ગણ્યાં કરવી, રક્ષણ કરી રાખવી, અને તેનાં પોષણ–દોહન કરવાં એ આ વૈદ્યપુત્ર સહદેવનું કાર્ય. એ અમારો “સર્વેઅર,” surveyor, એ જ અમારો વસુલાતી અધિકારી–રેવન્યુ કમિશનર. એજ કાર્યને અર્થે પ્રજાનાં ભૂત તથા વર્તમાન જાણી ભવિષ્ય જાણવું અને સુધારવું એ કામ આ વૈદ્યનું – આ પ્રાજ્ઞનું. અમારા દેશની સમૃદ્ધિસંબંધી એટલે ભૂમિ, દ્રવ્ય, આદિ સર્વ અર્થ સબંધી પ્રશ્નો જાણી સર્વ વાતની ચિકિત્સા જાણીતા ઔષધ કરવાં એ આ પ્રાજ્ઞનું કામ. પ્રજાની સમૃદ્ધિ વિચારવા વધારવાના કામને લીધે તેમાંથી રાજભંડાર - કેટલો ભરવો - પાંડવ કૌરવને કેટલું આપવું, રાજાએ કેટલો વ્યય કરવો, પ્રજાને માટે કેટલો વ્યય કરવો, સંગ્રહ કેટલો કરવો, ઇત્યાદિ સર્વ વિચાર અમારા સહદેવભવનમાં થાય છે.
