વીરરાવ– મ્હારો કઠોર વિનોદ જતો રહ્યો અને, પ્રધાનજી, હું પણ તમારી વાતનો વધારે વિચાર કરતાં વધારે આશ્વાસન પામું છું. It is true, your Highness, what the Pradhanji says. It is of no use leading a fidgety life and be mourning and grumbling over things over which we have no control.
ચંદ્રકાંત– મહારાજ, માળાનાજ જપનો જે સામાન્ય મનુષ્યને ઉપયોગ છે એવી જાતનો પણ એથી અનેકધા ઉચ્ચ આશ્વાસક અને પવિત્ર ઉપયોગ આ અનેક ભવનેનાં આસનોના વિચારની આવૃત્તિથી થાય છે. શોધ, ઉપદેશગ્રહણ, અનુભવ, વિધા, બુદ્ધિ, નીતિ, શાસ્ત્રો, પુસ્તકો, વિચાર, અને ક્રિયાવડે યથાશક્તિ પ્રયત્ન કરી પ્રજાનું કલ્યાણ આપ કરી શકશો. અને કોઈ વાતમાં તેનું કલ્યાણ નહી કરી શકો તો પણ તેમ કરવાને આપનો પોતાનો પ્રયત્ન સંપૂર્ણ થયો એટલે બાકીનાં પરિણામ માટે આપને હાથે કાંઈ બાકી ર્હેતું નથી. એટલાથી આપની કૃતકૃત્યતા છે.
વીર૦- My friend is practically blessing your Highness without seeming to do so. It is a political way of doing it, but I do not complain of it after this day's explanations of politics, I too tender unqualified apologies for the vagaries of my ધૃષ્ટદ્યુમ્ન and join in blessing your Highness openly and definitely though in less refined terms.
