આ બલિષ્ઠ નાગલોકે ઉપરના સર્વ રાફડાઓના રંગીન પ્રકાશની સૃષ્ટિને રચી છે અને વડવાઈઓએ લટકી રહી એ સૃષ્ટિને અનેક યુગથી ધરી રાખી છે. કુમુદ ! પોતાનું નામ સાંભળતાં આ તૈજસ નાગલોક ફણા માંડવા મંડી ગયા છે તે જો ! થોડી વારમાં તેમની વિષજ્વાલાઓની શકિતને આપણે જોઈશું.
થોડી વારમાં મ્હોટા મ્હોટા રાતા, પીળા, લીલા, કાળા, ને ધોળા નાગ એ બે જણની આશપાસ વેગથી કુંડાળાં રચી ફરી વળવા લાગ્યા. પણ પાસે જઈ જઈને તેમના દિવ્ય લેપની શક્તિથી પાછા ફરી પોતાની સભા ભરી કંઈ અવ્યકત ચર્ચા કરવા લાગ્યા. અંતે એક સઉથી મ્હોટો જાડો વૃદ્ધ નાગ પોતાનું પેટ કષ્ટથી પણ વેગથી ઘસડતો ઘસડતે આમની સામે આવી ઉભો અને એમના શરીર જેટલી ઉંચી ફણા કરી એમની સામે વિષની જ્વાલા ફુંકવા લાગ્યો. બીજા નાગનાં પણ વિષ ચારે પાસ ઉડવા લાગ્યાં અને ચારે પાસના પ્રકાશમાં ભયંકર કાળાશ વ્યાપી ગઈ. ન્હાનાં બાળક સર્પની શક્તિ ન સમજતાં ગમે તો તેને ઝાલવા જાય ને ગમે તો તેની સાથે રમવા જાય તેમ આ બે જણ આ વિષવૃષ્ટિને શાન્તિથી અને કૌતુકથી ઝીલવા લાગ્યાં. અંતે ધીમે ધીમે તે વૃષ્ટિ શાન્ત થઈ, તેજ અને પવન શુદ્ધ થયાં, અને સામે ઉભેલો વૃદ્ધ નાગ દિવ્ય વાણી વડે બોલવા લાગ્યો.
“પૃથ્વી ઉપરનાં કોમળ બાળકો અમારી ભયંકર સૃષ્ટિમાં તમે કેવી વાસનાથી આવ્યાં છો ને અમારી વિષજ્વાલાઓને કઈ શક્તિથી સહી જાવ છો? ”
