Let your boy go through the hard mill of difficulties instead of getting a soft-job." * વહાલાં બહેન ઊર્મિલા, e “ કેટલું કરુણ ! તે દિવસે તમે બહાર જતાં હતાં ત્યારે હું તમને બૂમ મારીને પાછાં બોલાવવા જતા હતા, ત્યાં સરોજિની દેવીએ કહ્યું કે તમે બધાં થોડી વારમાં પાછાં આવવાનાં છે. એટલે હું થોભી ગયા. પણ એમ થવા નિર્માયું હશે. હું કેદી છું અને બધું મારી મરજી પ્રમાણે ન થઈ શકે એની મને તીખી ચીમકી મળી. આવા આધાત આવે તે સારી વસ્તુ છે. તેને લીધે મારી નમ્રતા કેળવાય છે.
- શિખામણની વાત એવી છે કે આજે જે થઈ શકતું હોય તે કાલ ઉપર ન રાખવું અને જે અબઘડી થઈ શકતું હોય તે બીજી ઘડી ઉપર ન રાખવું. મારે તમારી અને બધાં છોકરાંની ખબરઅંતર પૂછવી હતી. હવે તો તમે જે હર્ષ અનુભવ્યો હોય, અને શાક તો અનુભવ છે જ, એ બધા વિષે વિગતવાર લખો. ઈશ્વરના ભક્તને તો શાકના પ્રસંગો એ બધા હર્ષના પ્રસંગો જ છે. એની આગમાં ઈશ્વર આપણને તાવે છે અને વિશુદ્ધ કરે છે. આ દુનિયામાં એકલાં સુખો જ સુખા હોય તો આપણો જીવ એનાથી ઉબકાઈ જાય. દુ:ખના પ્રાણવાયુ વિના આપણે મરી જઈ એ.
