But it seems to be worth doing.". “ સ્ત્રીની સંભાળને અભાવે જમનાલાલજીનું ઘર કેવું વેરાન લાગતું હતું એમ તું લખે છે. સ્ત્રી અને પુરુષ વચ્ચેના કાર્યાવિભાગ વિષેના બહુ ખાટા ખ્યાલનું આ પરિણામ છે એમ મને હંમેશાં ભાસ્યું છે. કાર્યવિભાગ જરૂર હોવા જોઈએ. પણ પુરુષ ઉપર ઘરની સંભાળ આવી પડે ત્યારે એ લાચારી અનુભવે અને એવી સ્થિતિ સ્ત્રીને જ્યારે સ્વતંત્ર રહેવાનું આવે ત્યારે એની થઈ પડે ( પશ્ચિમ કરતાં અહીં એવું વધારે બને છે ), એ ૨૯૮
